Why you shouldn't believe everything you see on the Internet

The picture is down now, but the website for Channel 7 gave us quite the chuckle this afternoon. Their 5 top story was that Ft. Collins was ranked one of the top places to live in the US. It was a nice article. However, their picture was a little...well...off. In the foreground of the picture, it was clearly Ft. Collins. You could see the dorms and the Key Bank building. However, the picture made it look like Ft Collins was right at the base of Longs Peak! Like literally in the shadow of it! My first response was "Where did the mountains come from!" Then I was like, "wait, you can't get a picture of Longs Peak like THAT in Ft. Collins." It was hilarious! They have a new picture up now, one of Old Town. But for awhile, it was quite the misrepresentation of just how close FoCo is to the mountains...and specfic mountains at that!!!
