Noises Off

Noises Off! is a theatrical masterpiece! It truly is! You wanna talk about timing and physical comedy! Wow! I had only ever seen the movie (which is fall-down funny), but tonight I saw the play, put on by Loveland High School. Fantastic show! The kids did really well, especially with the physical comedy side of it...which is most of the show.

The average theatre goer will love Noises Off! because of the comedy. True theatre geeks love Noises Off! because it's painfully true. In the 2nd Act, when you're seeing what's going on "backstage", everything is so deadly accurate. Okay, so not every show has cast members chasing each other with an axe. But still! It's so true!!!

I really loved the show tonight. I haven't laughed that hard since...well, since the PDQ Bach concert last week.
